Arts and Crafts Plates

Plate No.2

The Plate No.2 was all about covering the drawing book using recycled materials and plastic cover. I kept my plate simple and I had so mush fun in cutting the magazines I have into triangular sizes. I guess doing this plate is fun.

Plate No.3

In designing the first page of my drawing book (wherein you just got to write your name and section), I felt a bit expressive of myself since I can design the page with whatever I want. Since I'm fond of colors and letterings, I cut out some letters from some magazines to form my name and section and after that, I colored the page as my background. XD

Plate No.4

a. Rectangle
Making rectangles are easy for me since I've been doing this since preschool. :) This activity was fun since I get to form something made out of rectangles.
b. Square
I made a robot out from this shape! When I was younger, I usually use ruler to make a perfect square but now, I can make one without using any rulers. All I have to do is fold and KABOOM! I have a square. :)
c. Circle
This was an interesting shape to make. I've always wanted to learn how to make a circle without having to trace anything. Now, thanks to my TLE class, I learned how to do just by simple steps in folding. Big success for me.
d. Star
Doing the four-pointed star was amazing. I didn't get it right at first since I didn't understand the whole concept of the base and finding the center thing, but I was able to do it with the few help from my classmates who were going in front of my teacher. Thanks to them! I was able to make a five-pointed star correctly, so no problem with that. I'm quite amazed of my outcome which was pretty fascinating for me. And last, but not the east, the eight-pointed star. I so love this kind of star. I still keep on doing this kind of star until now. It's really amazing to me. XD

Plate No.5

a. Expanding Rectangles
Doing this craft is crazy. I lost my mind (not literally) in doing this. The paper got so tangled up and I had to make anther one. But thanks to this craft, I was able to really exercise my patience.
b. Expanding Squares
This craft is much simple than the latter. I was so amazed by the outcome. I was already enjoying my work and didn't really consider this thing as "work".
c. Expanding Circles
Whoo! I enjoyed doing this thing. I realized that this was used as the tail of the parols. I love this thing. I love to see it dangling freely on the bottom sides of the parols. This was fun! :)

Free- hand drawings

Being a person of art is one of the things that you could least expect from me. To be honest, I don't have any talents in drawing, sketching, painting, or anything associated with arts. If you'll ask me to draw something for you, the best drawing that I could give to you is a smiley. That's my best master piece. Well, I do suck at drawings and those pretty arts, but if you'll ask me to do an abstract art for you, I assure you, I could give you my best (if you know what I mean).

Recently, in our subject T. L. E., we were asked to do his free- hand drawing. Our teacher told us to draw something that inspires us during that moment. Unfortunately, my brain was not working that time. I can't think of anything pretty. Then, something came into my mind. I love cartoons. I am fond of watching them. So, an idea came into my mind and decided to draw the free and happy cartoon, Spongebob.

Spongebob is one of the cartoons who inspires because of his personality. He is free, friendly, and undeniably fun. He always tries his best in everything he does, he does his job well, he knows his responsibilities and he is himself. He doesn't pretend to be like anybody else. He loves to be himself. And so, by the qualities that he possess, he inspires me with his personality. So, I drew him... :)
